TRM Tax Attorneys
A 101-page web application, not a website. Built for South Africa's leading tax law firm around a genuinely complex, custom-built publications database, an internal media streaming platform, an embedded e-book reader and custom PDF-generation software.

The challenge
TRM needed something a template site could never deliver: a real database engine to organise decades of tax law publications, rulings and client-facing material for one of South Africa's leading tax law firms, searchable and cross-referenced properly, not a folder of PDFs with a search bar bolted on.
The approach
We treated it as software from the first architecture decision, not a website with a lot of pages. At the core is a custom-built database, structured, indexed and searchable, engineered to handle a genuinely large and constantly growing body of publications without turning into an unusable maze. An internal media streaming platform, an embedded e-book reader with page-flip functionality, and custom PDF-generation software all run on top of it as one coherent system, not a pile of plugins bolted onto WordPress.
What this involved
- 101 pages of structured content, built to be searched, not just browsed
- Custom-built, indexed publications database handling real complexity at scale
- Internal media streaming platform
- Embedded e-book reader with responsive page-flip functionality
- Custom PDF-generation software
Part of Software, Not Sites.
